We do maintain a waiting list as we often get calls from people who are carefully planning their next puppy or replacing a Keeshond recently lost. Many times people call to let us know of their interest in getting a Cari-On puppy, but not right away, maybe after their Summer vacation or when their child goes away to college. If we do not have a puppy available when you call, we will be more than happy to add you to our waiting list.

If you are not set on owning a Cari-On puppy and do not want to wait, we will be happy to refer you to other reputable breeders in your area. We would much rather see you buy a well-bred puppy from a reputable breeder, than have you buy from a pet shop, or less than reputable backyard breeder. However, we do not get paid for a referral service, we offer it as a courtesy. As such, we ask that you please not request us to return long-distance phone calls to provide a referral. We can be reached by E-mail and most any weekday evening via telephone at 310-323-1292 between 2:30 and 7:30 pm, California time, and we would be happy to speak with you. You may also try to reach us on weekends ... but we may be at the dog shows!

We offer boarding and grooming to all our puppy buyers at very reasonable rates. But, even if you don't buy a puppy from us, if it is a Keeshond we will be happy to provide you with the same services, but call ahead to reserve space. 

Our policy at Cari-On is to breed ethically and responsibly, to provide the best care for ours and our client's dogs entrusted to our care, to educate our Keeshond-owning clients in the proper care of their dogs, and to offer whatever advice and services we can to promote a positive breeder/client relationship.

All pet puppies are sold on a spay/neuter contract only and with limited AKC registrations. Limited AKC Registration means the dog is registered with the AKC, however, none of its offspring can ever be registered.  This is done for those few unethical people that sign a spay/neuter contract and then do not honor it.

All show puppies are sold on a show contract. Please contact us for details.

Please don't ask us to return long distance calls (outside 310 area code) for puppy referrals as we get nothing to provide this service. We are on Pacific Standard Time and because we get up at 5:30am most mornings we usually do not answer the phone after 7:30pm in the evenings. The best time to reach us is between 9:00am and 7:00pm Monday-Friday and any time on weekends ... provided we are not off to a show.
